Test di competenza linguistica CELI – level B1 cittadinanza

The official test is divided in 4 sections, each one dedicated to a specific language competence:
Reading
Writing
Listening
Speaking

Starting January 2022 we offer several sets of classes:
5 week Short Courses
Preparation course
Simulation classes
Mock test

5 week Short Courses

Each 5-week course is dedicated to one single language competence required by the official language test B1.

Classes are intended for applicants to the official test, and to anyone else interested in taking the test B1, who has already reached a level B1 of general Italian proficiency.

Level B1 as defined by the European criteria corresponds to an intermediate level in most of the language schools in the US.

Though a variety of exercises proposed by the instructor, you will master and improve your language skills in the four competencies listed above.

 

Reading – comprensione del testo

6:15-hour course

Cost: $160 + $5 nonrefundable registration fee

Class meets once a week on Thursday from 5:15 to 6:30 pm

Writing – produzione scritta

6:15-hour course

Cost: $160 + $5 nonrefundable registration fee

Class meets once a week on Thursday from 6:45 to 8:00 pm

Class meets on: January 6 – February 3

Listening – ascolto

6:15-hour course

Cost: $160 + $5 nonrefundable registration fee

Class meets once a week on Thursday from 5:15 to 6:30 pm

6:15-hour course

Class meets once a week on Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 pm

Preparation course

16-hour course

Cost: $320 + $10 nonrefundable registration fee

Class meets once a week on Saturday afternoons from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

Class meets on: January 15, 22, 29, February 5, 12, 19, 26, March 5

Classes are intended for applicants to the official test, and to anyone else interested in taking the test B1, who has already reached a level B1 of general Italian proficiency.

The course covers two different areas:
1. Vocabulary and grammar rules review according to the level B1
2. Practice of the 4 language skills in different contexts and situations as indicated by the CELI guide.
Through exercises in class and home assignments, the instructor will help you build your vocabulary, master the grammar, and the necessary skills in the four competencies listed above.

Simulation classes

Set of 8 classes dedicated to the simulation of the actual test sections, as you are going to do during the official test.
Each class is stand-alone and can be purchased singularly or as a package.

Simulation class: 1 hour
Cost of the single class: $60

Package of 5 to 8 classes are available: 5% discount is applied, packages are nonrefundable.

Class meets once a week on Saturday afternoons from 3:15 to 4:15 pm

Class meets on: January 15, 22, 29, February 5, 12, 19, 26, March 5

These special classes are intended for applicants to the official test who would like to get familiar with the test material, instructions, timing and organization.
Each class is dedicated to one specific section test and applicants will simulate the test with the same instructions, material and timing.
Depending on the section each class will simulate between 1 and 4 times the same type of the test section.
The instructor will give you suggestions on how to handle the test and at the end of the class will correct your results and give you feedback on what to review and practice.
