Our adults courses follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which is a guideline used to describe achievements of learners of foreign languages. The CEFR has provided a set of six Common Reference Levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) to describe learners’ proficiency. Refer to the table below to compare the CEFR levels with our courses.

Conversation classes

These classes are designed to connect people who want to share opinions on current events and cultural topics in an informal and convivial setting.
Reading materials on the chosen topic will be emailed in advance to facilitate the conversation led by an Italian moderator.
Participants will expand their spoken Italian conversation skills, through reading comprehension and guided discussions.

Tuition and registration fees must be paid in full before the term begins.

Registration fees are not refundable for any reason.

Tuition fees are refunded in full if students cancel at least 1 week before the term begins or if a class is canceled for any reason.

Students who drop out before the fourth class of term will receive a 25% carry-over credit for the following term.

Students who drop out 4 or more classes will not receive any refund or carry-over credit.

The IIS Board of Directors reserves the right to increase fees annually. Even though we are a no-profit institution, it might be necessary to raise class fees to cover increases in overhead, rent, and teacher salaries. Any such increase levied is guaranteed for one year.
