Youth Programs

Beginner Italian for Teenagers is a 4-week course dedicated to young students age 13-17 who have had very little exposure to the Italian language.

Meetings will take place remotely through Zoom.

Italiano Giovane 1 and Italiano Giovane 2 are Italian camps dedicated to young students age 13-17 who have been previously exposed to the Italian language and who are currently taking Italian in school.
These two 2-week camps are designed around a variety of activities that will encourage learners to practice their Italian skills in a fun and friendly environment.
During each meeting, students will practice a conversation topic while they review grammar and vocabulary through exercises, role-play, games and competitions.

Meetings will take place remotely through Zoom.

Italiano Giovane 1

Dedicated to students who have an Italian proficiency level A2, equivalent to a level acquired at the end of middle school or at the end of the first 2 years of high school.

Students will be practicing the following conversation skills:

How to introduce themselves; how to talk about family members; how to order food; how to describe a person/room/location; how to talk about past events.

Students will be reviewing the following grammar content:

Nouns; articles; adjectives; direct pronouns; present tense, simple past and past perfect of regular and most common irregular verbs.

Italiano Giovane 2

Dedicated to students who have an Italian proficiency level B1, equivalent to a level acquired at the end of Italiano 3 and/or 4 in High school.

Students will be practicing the following conversation skills:

How to talk about what they like; their projects for the future; how to make suggestions and express desires; how to bring arguments to conversations and express opinions; how to make hypotheses.

Students will be reviewing the following grammar content:

Superlative and comparative adjectives; direct and indirect pronouns; future tense; present tense of conditional and subjunctive of regular and most common irregular verbs.
