Movie Night

With our teacher Mattia Milone, we will discuss older and new films from the Italian Cinema.

Additional information

This event is part of a series of Zoom meetings that IIS offers to discuss the contents of older and new movies from Italian filmography. It is also an opportunity to spend time together with other students and have a conversation in Italian with, perhaps, a glass of wine in hand.

Because a movie is like a good wine: with each new meeting it has a different flavor, it shows details that we had not noticed before, and it changes with the passing of the years and the experiences we have had.

Journey through Time: Unraveling the Mystery of Imperfetto and Passato Prossimo

Join us on an exciting adventure as we explore the captivating world of Italian grammar and delve into the distinctions between imperfetto and passato prossimo.

On September 13th from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm, via Zoom with our teacher Giulia, we will learn how to use them correctly.

Tiramisù Cooking Class

Experience authentic Italian cuisine, learning the tips and tricks to prepare a delicious dessert you can recreate at home, with Istituto Italiano Scuola and NonnaLive.

Additional information

Tiramisù is a delicacy appreciated in every corner of the globe, it is boundless. Like pizza, it is a boast of Italian gastronomic traditions. So let’s learn how to prepare it with Grandma!

On May 21st, Nonna will teach you step-by-step how to prepare a perfect tiramisu! And since there is no tiramisu without good coffee, Grandma will show you some tricks for making a perfect coffee using the moka pot.

The workshop is online and the lesson is open to all levels of Italian because, where necessary, there will be an integration of the explanation in English, and they will be as interactive as possible. Each student will receive information materials specially created by NonnaLive via email, such as the Zoom link, recipe, explanations of ingredients, etc. before the lesson.

This event is part of a series of Zoom meetings that IIS offers to discuss the contents of older and new movies from the Italian filmography. It is also an opportunity to spend time together with other students and have a conversation in Italian with, perhaps, a glass of wine in hand.

Because a movie is like a good wine: with each new meeting it has a different flavor, it shows details that we had not noticed before, and it changes with the passing of the years and the experiences we have had.
