In celebration of the anniversary of Carlo Collodi’s birth, we are having a special Book Club, in which we will discuss Le avventure di Pinocchio, one of the most iconic and enduring masterpieces of Italian literature.
The novel follows the unforgettable journey of a wooden puppet who dreams of becoming a real boy. Through a series of adventures, mistakes, and life lessons, Collodi explores themes of honesty, responsibility, courage, and personal growth in a story that has captivated readers around the world for more than a century. Although originally written for children, Pinocchio remains a timeless classic that continues to inspire readers of all ages.
Under the guidance of our teacher Mattia, students will explore Collodi’s life, the historical and cultural context of the novel, and engage in lively discussions about one of the most influential and widely translated works in Italian literature.
