These classes promote an engaging learning experience centered around a child's daily life, incorporating songs, movements, arts and crafts, and storytelling.
Our passionate teachers are dedicated to creating a positive, engaging, and fun online environment to facilitate your child's learning journey.
In these classes, children will be immersed in the sounds of Italian through music and songs, and introduced to vocabulary through reading.
Activities are designed to encourage interaction and engagement, and can also help strengthen parent-child bonding.
The classes are open to children ages 2 to 10, whether they are hearing Italian for the first time or growing up in an Italian-speaking family.
One parent or caregiver must remain in the room with their child at all times.
For children under 6, the parent or caregiver is also expected to actively attend and participate in the class alongside their child.

A fun and engaging online Italian course designed for young learners who are ready to take their first steps in the language!
Children will gradually build their Italian through a combination of structured learning, games, songs, and interactive speaking activities using the textbook “Dimmi 1“.
The course will move at a comfortable pace, giving students plenty of time to become familiar with the language, the materials, and the routines of an Italian class.
Starting with greetings and introductions, students will gradually learn to participate in simple everyday exchanges and express themselves using age-appropriate Italian. Each lesson will include familiar questions and routines such as Come stai? (How are you?), Che giorno è oggi? (What day is it today?), and Com’è il tempo? (What’s the weather like?), helping children gain confidence through repetition and predictability.
During the fFall Term session, the class will focus primarily on Unit 1 of the textbook “Dimmi 1“, alternating textbook activities with games, conversation, and oral practice. The intentionally gradual approach will allow children to develop a solid foundation while continuing to use the same materials throughout the year.
Who is this course for?
The course is designed primarily for children ages 6–9. Because students will work with a textbook and activity book, children should already be comfortable writing independently rather than still learning how to write.
As with all our online children’s classes, an adult must remain nearby during the lesson. The adult does not need to participate in the class, but should be available if needed to help with behavior, focus, or participation.

Spazio Italiano is an Italian language center for children and their families located in San Francisco (North Beach).
Spazio Italiano offers full Italian immersion programs for kids, 9 months to 16 years of age, as well as parent participation in an intimate, well-designed space.
