About the Film
The story follows Rosalba, a neglected housewife from a small town, who is accidentally left behind at a highway rest stop during a family vacation. Seizing the opportunity for change, she embarks on a spontaneous journey to Venice, where she begins a new life as a waitress. In this enchanting city, Rosalba rediscovers her independence and self-worth, meeting a cast of colorful characters along the way, including a charming flower seller and a mysterious private detective.
Featuring stellar performances by Licia Maglietta and Bruno Ganz, Pane e Tulipani is a heartwarming blend of romance, comedy, and drama. With its picturesque Venetian backdrop and endearing characters, the film beautifully celebrates themes of self-discovery and personal reinvention.
