Group Classes

  • Tuition and registration fees must be paid in full before the term begins.
  • Prices are per person. If there is more than one person per household, each student must enroll and pay separately.
  • Registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • It is not possible to try a class before enrolling.
  • Tuition fees will be refunded in full if students cancel at least one week before the term begins or if a class is canceled for any reason.
  • Students who withdraw before the fourth class of the term will receive a 25% carry-over credit for the following term.
  • Students who withdraw after the fourth class of the term will not receive any refund or carry-over credit.
  • You can carry over your credits for group classes for up to 6 months. After that period, your credits will expire.
  • Make-up classes are not included in the course cost unless agreed upon at enrollment. You will have the option to purchase 2 make-up classes at a discounted rate of $57 per lesson.

 

Minimum Group Class Size Policy

At IIS, we are committed to providing quality Italian language instruction to our students.
To maintain the integrity of our classes, we may reschedule the start date of a course if the minimum number of 3 students is not reached. With 3 students a course can start even though with a reduced classes’ length.
IIS reserves the right to adjust the length of group classes if any course has less than 5 students enrolled. 5 students is the number of students required for a full term course.
The reduction of hours is meant to maintain the course even though the curriculum will be covered in a shorter amount of time, being a smaller group. Students will always be informed via email of any adjustment to the course they enrolled in.
Please note that the price of a course is calculated not by hour but by contents covered in class.

Private Lessons

  • Private lessons are billed on an hourly basis.
  • We require a 24-hour cancellation or rescheduling notice to avoid being charged for the canceled or rescheduled class.
  • 6 months after the payment, any unused hours will expire, and students will not be allowed a refund.
  • Private lessons must be fully paid in advance.

 

Fee Adjustments
The IIS Board of Directors reserves the right to annually increase fees. While we are a non-profit institution, occasional fee adjustments may be necessary to cover rising overhead, rent, and teacher salaries.

Any fee increase is guaranteed for one year.
